This is an A6-sized Psalter and Book of the Gospels combination that is bound as a dos-à-dos, a binding structure that was popular in the Middle Ages for binding two books together. It comprises the following two books bound as one unit:

  • The late Father Lazarus Moore's translation of the Septuagint Psalter, digitally printed on 90 gsm Munken Pure paper in archival-quality pigment ink. The text has been adapted to render the forms of address in more contemporary English (You/Your instead of Thee/Thou) and some minor changes have been made in line arrangement. It uses UK spelling, capitalises divine pronouns, and follows the Septuagint numbering of the Psalms. It has 288 pages of text, plus 4 blank pages.
  • Father Lazarus Moore's translation of the Gospels, digitally printed on 90 gsm Munken Pure paper in archival-quality pigment ink, with a content description in the header. It should be noted that chapters 23 and 24 of St Luke's Gospel could not be found and have been replaced with text from the World English Bible. It has 293 pages of text, plus 7 blank pages.

Both books have hand-stitched headbands, made printed marbled endpages that have been waxed with beeswax, one ribbon marker, speckled edges, and "HOLY PSALTER" and "HOLY GOSPELS" gold foiled on the spines.

Please note that there may be minor imperfections in the leather or tooling. While every attempt is made to minimise these, they are sometimes an inevitable part of the natural process.
